Home-cooked soul. A considered visual identity.
Brand identity and visual system presented in this collection: logo, colour, typography, graphic devices, icons and application design.
Application layouts are design examples from the brand book. Illustrations demonstrate the photography direction.
The brief
13’03 Gourmet brings Nigerian home cooking to catering, corporate lunches, private events and family meals. The visual identity needed to feel welcoming and familiar while giving the food a considered, contemporary presentation.
Character in the details
The name comes from 13 March, a date meaningful to the founder. Its date-and-time reading becomes a recurring timestamp device across labels and communication.
The logo’s soft numerals supply the rest of the visual language: the zero becomes a plate-shaped image frame, the prime mark becomes a drop, and the full stop becomes a seasoning dot. The identity grows from these small, recognisable details.
A palette borrowed from the kitchen
Pot Black and Enamel give the work its foundation. Accents named Ata Rodo, Palm Oil, Ugwu and Plantain bring colour from the food into the system, used sparingly to organise information.
Nohemi leads headlines and numbers; Gilroy carries supporting text. Rounded menu and service icons share the seasoning dot, while the Pantry pattern brings them together across larger surfaces.
From the mark to the table
The selected application designs explore freezer cartons, menu cards, labels, aprons, dispatch boxes and event materials. Instagram highlight covers and post templates extend the same direction into everyday communication.
These examples show the identity’s intended use across different formats. The food imagery in the photography-direction spread is illustrative.
